Fried Chicken Katsu

Today’s main ingredient is chicken breast. This recipe is Fried Chicken Katsu. It's a hammered and flatten chicken breast breaded with flour, egg, and bread crumbs. One of the best dinner recipe to make at home.



How to make Fried Chicken Katsu ?


Hammer and flatten the chicken before you add the seasonings, like salt and pepper. Spread the seasoning evenly on both sides. In a bowl, mix together the flour and seasonings until combined. In a separate mixing bowl, crack and beat the two large eggs.

Coat the chicken in flour, egg, and bread crumbs. In a hot pan filled with oil, fry the chicken until it’s golden brown on both sides. When it’s cooked, remove it from the heat and place it on a rack to cool down. Serve nice and crispy!

Ingredients

For the chicken

+ 2 chicken breast

+ 1/2 tsp. salt

+ 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper


For the flour mixture:

+ 1 cup of all purpose flour

+ 1 tsp salt

+ 1/4 tsp cayenne

+ 1/4 tsp. paprika

+ 1 cup bread crumbs


Oil to fry.


Instructions:


1. First, hammer and flatten the chicken breast before you add the seasonings, like salt and pepper. Spread the seasoning evenly on both sides.

2. In a bowl, mix together the flour and seasonings until combined.

3. In a separate mixing bowl, crack and beat the two large eggs.

4. Coat the chicken in flour, egg, and bread crumbs.

5. In a hot pan filled with oil, fry the chicken until it’s golden brown on both sides.

6. When it’s cooked, use a strainer to drain the excess oil or place it on a rack to cool down before serving. Enjoy!!
