Popcorn Chicken - Quick and Easy Appetizer Recipe !

This pop corn chicken is so crunchy, easy to make and so delicious. You should try them.

"You probably first discovered your affinity for popcorn chicken at KFC. If you've never had it, it consists of soft chicken breast portions that have been breaded and perfectly deep-fried to a golden brown color. It is served in bite-sized chunks as opposed to typical fried chicken (thus the name's reference to "popcorn").".

Ingredients:


+ 2 boneless chicken breast

+ 1 tsp salt

+ 1/2 tsp cayenne

+ 1/2 tsp paprika

+ 1/2 tsp onion powder

+ 1/4 tsp garlic powder

+ 1/4 cup all purpose flour

+ 1/4 cup cornstarch

+ 2 large eggs ( add 1 large egg if batter is too thick)

+ bread crumbs ( for coating)

+ oil ( for frying)


Instructions:

1. First, we’re gonna cut the boneless chicken breast into same size. When we’re done cutting, place them into a mixing bowl.

2. Season the chicken with a tsp. of salt, 1/2 tsp. of ground black pepper, 1/2 tsp. of cayenne, 1/2 tsp. paprika, 1/2 tsp. onion powder, and a 1/4 tsp. of garlic powder.

3. Then, add a 1/4 cup of all purpose flour, 1/4 cup cornstarch, and beaten egg. Mix together until combined.

4. Roll in Panko bread crumbs until they’re evenly coated.

5. In a hot pan filled with oil, we’re gonna fry the chicken on medium low heat until they’re golden brown on both sides. When they're done, you can also insert a thermometer into the thickest part of the pop corn chicken to check if it's fully cooked. Safe to eat chicken temperature is 165°F.

6. Use a strainer to drain the excess oil and transfer it onto a plate. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce! Follow for more recipes!


Note: Slice the chicken into pieces that are the same size as one another to promote even cooking. Avoid overcooking the chicken by removing it from the oil as soon as it turns golden brown.
